Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai Hails One Nation One Election Initiative
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai praises PM Modi for One Nation One Election Bill, highlighting its benefits for the country in terms of time and cost-saving.
In a recent statement, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the historic decision of implementing the One Nation One Election initiative. CM Sai hailed the move as a revolutionary step towards streamlining the country’s electoral process, emphasizing the potential benefits in terms of saving both time and money.
“We would like to thank PM Modi for this. It is a result of his farsightedness. This will benefit the nation – it will save time and money. Due to frequent elections, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is imposed frequently, and this halts development work. If Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections are conducted simultaneously, this will benefit the country immensely,” Sai said.
One Nation One Election: Time and Cost Efficiency
The One Nation One Election Bill, recently approved by the Modi Cabinet, aims to synchronize elections across different levels of governance, from Lok Sabha to Vidhan Sabha and local bodies. According to Sai, this alignment of election cycles will significantly reduce the disruption caused by frequent elections, particularly in relation to the imposition of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), which often stalls governmental projects and development activities.
Frequent elections lead to the MCC being implemented multiple times, restricting new projects from being initiated. By holding elections at the same time, these restrictions can be minimized, allowing for continuous development efforts without prolonged interruptions.
Jandarshan Event and Development Efforts
In addition to discussing One Nation One Election, CM Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the success of the Jandarshan event held in the state, where citizens from across Chhattisgarh gathered in large numbers to meet government officials. Sai emphasized the importance of hearing the public’s concerns and providing solutions at the earliest possible moment.
“Jandarshan was organised here today. People across the state came here in large numbers. We are providing immediate solutions that can be provided. We also provided tricycles as well as financial help...Collectors are indeed working but people have a lot of needs,” Sai mentioned, reflecting his administration’s commitment to addressing the demands of the public.
Addressing the Needs of the Public
The Jandarshan event serves as an important platform for government officials to interact directly with the people, ensuring that immediate concerns are met. The initiative provides citizens an opportunity to voice their needs and allows the government to respond quickly. In the recent event, the distribution of tricycles and financial assistance to the needy was one of the major highlights. Sai assured the public that the government is working towards fulfilling their demands through proactive measures.
The CM further acknowledged the efforts of district Collectors but admitted that the public’s needs are ever-growing, and continuous efforts are required to meet them. The interaction during Jandarshan allowed the government to understand the issues faced by citizens at the grassroots level, strengthening the government’s resolve to work harder for the welfare of the people.
As Chhattisgarh moves forward with development and welfare initiatives, CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his optimism for the One Nation One Election initiative, emphasizing that it will ensure smoother governance and uninterrupted development. The alignment of electoral processes promises a future where time and resources can be effectively utilized, benefiting citizens across the country.
