Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning has said that some countries have imposed entry restrictions targeting only Chinese travelers.

China had taken a step back from the Zero Kovid policy last month. After this, there was a sudden jump in the cases of corona here. Lakhs of corona patients came here, which has increased the concern of all the countries of the world. In view of this, many countries have implemented various restrictions for Chinese travelers, which has upset the Chinese administration.

In fact, America, Canada, France, Japan, India are among the countries where the mandatory corona report for Chinese travelers has been implemented. It is mandatory for passengers coming from China to have a negative corona report. This move has been condemned by China and has also threatened to retaliate.

China being targeted on Corona

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning has said that some countries have implemented entry restrictions targeting only Chinese travelers. It lacks scientific basis and such measures are unacceptable, he added. He said, China can retaliate on this basis.

Estimates of heavy infection in China

Last month, some local and regional authorities began sharing predicted daily infections. Because, the figures of Corona were not clear. Health officials in the coastal province of Zhejiang believed one million residents were being infected every day last week. The cities of Quzhou and Zhoushan said at least 30 percent of the population had contracted the virus. The eastern coastal city of Qingdao has also projected nearly 500,000 new daily cases and the southern manufacturing hub of Dongguan has projected up to 300,000. Officials in the island province of Hainan estimated on Friday that the infection rate there had passed 50 percent.

China stopped publishing daily infection and death figures after Beijing admitted the scale of the outbreak has been impossible to track since the end of mandatory mass testing last month. The National Health Commission has stopped publishing daily nationwide infection and death figures. That responsibility has been transferred to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which will publish the figures only once a month after China downgraded its management protocols for the disease on January 8.
