Disabled people will not have to pay toll tax in Punjab, the government has given a gift, just have to do this work

The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab gave 100 percent exemption in toll to the disabled on national highways. This information was given by Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljeet Kaur on Tuesday.

He said that vehicles registered in the name of disabled people will get 100 percent exemption in toll on national highways. Persons with disabilities will have to register their ownership as persons with disabilities in the registration certificate of their vehicles. Any disabled person can get the ownership of his new or old vehicle registered as a disabled person by submitting an application in the Transport Department.

He said that to avail this benefit, the concerned applicants will have to take a special fast tag with exemption. In this regard, they will have to register themselves on the website https://exemptedfastag.nhai.org/exemptedfastag and after registration, by filling the online form, an exempted fast tag will be issued by the competent authority, which the disabled people will have to put on their vehicles. .

Dr. Baljeet Kaur said that detailed information about the rules issued in this regard is available on the department's website https://sswcd.punjab.gov.in/. Apart from this, if disabled people face any difficulty in availing this facility, then they can contact the office of the District Social Security Officer of their district or the Child Development Project Officer of the concerned block.
