A fire in Warangal, Telangana, caused significant damage to a furniture shop and a gunny godown. The fire was extinguished after three hours with the help of four fire vehicles. Authorities suspect an electric short circuit as the cause of the blaze.

In the early hours of the morning, a fire accident in Warangal has led to significant damage to local businesses. According to District Fire Officer Sridhar, the incident was reported at 4:29 AM today. The quick response from the fire department helped to control the blaze, which affected two properties – an old furniture shop located at the front and a gunny godown situated at the rear.

Sridhar explained that the Warangal fire department was promptly alerted about the incident and dispatched an initial fire vehicle to the scene. Upon evaluating the scale of the fire, it was determined that additional resources were necessary. Consequently, three more fire vehicles were called in, making a total of four fire trucks engaged in the operation. “The fire affected two separate units – the old furniture shop and the gunny godown,” said Sridhar. “We managed to control the fire without any further escalation. Preliminary investigations suggest that an electric short circuit might have caused the blaze.”
