Sandeep was last month accused of fraud by Sukesh Chandrashekhar who had alleged that he had taken Rs 12.5 crore for providing security to him.

IPS officer and former Director General of Tihar Jail Sandeep Goel has been suspended. The Union Home Ministry has taken action against him after he was accused of corruption.

Sandeep was last month accused of fraud by Sukesh Chandrashekhar who had alleged that he had taken Rs 12.5 crore for providing security to him. Sandeep, a 1989 batch IPS officer, was transferred only a month ago.

During the tenure of former Tihar Jail DG Sandeep Goyal, there were many serious allegations of corruption in Tihar Jail. These allegations were also leveled against Sandeep Goyal. Sandeep Goyal is currently working at Delhi Police Headquarters.
