Meteorologists have said that there is a possibility of good and regular rains till the end of June and the beginning of July, which will bring more than normal rains along the west, central and east coast of India.
According to IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, from June 18 to June 21, conditions will be favorable for further advance of monsoon in parts of East and North India. News agency PTI reported that due to the effect of cyclone Biparjoy, there will be rain in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and some adjoining areas on Sunday, which will help the monsoon to move forward.
Biperjoy also has an effect on the weather
Monsoon remained calm since 11 May due to the absence of any weather system over the Bay of Bengal and the influence of a severe cyclonic storm on the Southwest Monsoon Stream. Now due to Biparjoy, there is a possibility of moving towards north-east and rain in central and eastern Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Monsoon has so far covered the entire Northeast, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and parts of Bengal.
