This opening batsman could not play in the Indian team's first match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup against Australia in Chennai. He will also not be able to play in Team India's next match against Afghanistan on October 11 in Delhi. Shubhman will stay in Chennai and will be under the supervision of the medical team.
