Indian Test team's stand-in captain KL Rahul got injured ahead of the second Test against Bangladesh. He is sitting with an injury to his hand during the practice session. If Rahul is unable to play in the second match starting on Thursday (December 22), then vice-captain Cheteshwar Pujara can take charge of the team. After the ouster of regular captain Rohit Sharma, Rahul became the captain and Pujara the vice-captain.

Indian team's batting Vikram Rathor gave information about Rahul's injury. He said that Rahul is hurt, but it is not very serious. It is believed that the final decision regarding Rahul's playing in the next match will be taken before the match. The Indian team is ahead 1-0 in the two-Test series. What did Vikram Rathore say?

Vikram Rathore said during the press conference on Wednesday, "Rahul's injury does not look serious. It seems that he is fine. Hopefully he will recover. Doctors are looking into his injury." If Rahul gets injured then Pujara will get the captaincy and Abhimanyu Easwaran will get a chance to debut. He was included in the squad in place of Rohit Sharma, who was ruled out due to a thumb injury.

Rahul going through bad form

Rahul's form in Tests has been bad in recent times. He has not been able to score a single half-century in the last five innings. Rahul had scored his last half-century against South Africa in Johannesburg in January. After that he could only score eight, 12, 10, 22 and 23 runs in five innings respectively. Talking about Rahul's career, he has scored 2592 runs in 44 matches at an average of 35.02.
