India Lays Down 5,300 km of New Railway Tracks, Surpassing Switzerland’s Network

In a significant achievement for India’s railway infrastructure, the country has laid down 5,300 kilometers of new railway tracks in the past year alone, surpassing the entire railway network of a prosperous country like Switzerland. Over the last decade, 31,000 kilometers of new tracks have been laid, exceeding France’s railway network, according to Honorable Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
