Dhanush Made in India Howitzer also participated in the exercise

BMP Infantry Combat Vehicles of the Indian Army, while practicing, showed their might by crossing the Indus River at Nyoma in East Ladakh. Speaking about the military exercise, Capt V Mishra said, "The drill also involved the 155 mm x 45 caliber Dhanush Howitzer Made in India. It is manufactured at a Gun Carriage Factory in Jabalpur under the advanced two-system Make in India scheme." It has been deployed since last year.It has the capability to engage targets above 4000 meters above sea level with an accuracy of 48 kilometers.It can fire six types of ammunition and is the first Can fire three rounds in fire. It has been developed under transfer of technology from Bofors, but India has made it on its own under Make in India scheme.
