An IndiGo flight going from Mumbai to Guwahati was diverted towards Dhaka, Bangladesh due to dense fog on Saturday. It is reported that the fog around Guwahati airport was so dense that the pilot could not even see the landing strip nearby. In such a situation, the Indigo plane was landed in Dhaka.

In a post on X, former Mumbai Youth Congress chief Suraj Singh Thakur posted about this incident. He said, "I traveled in IndiGo flight 6E 5319 from Mumbai to Guwahati. But due to dense fog, the flight could not land in Guwahati, instead it was diverted to Dhaka." Thakur said that at present all the passengers of the flight are crossing the international border without passports.

He told that the passengers have been seated inside the flight itself. I have been on the plane for nine hours. I was going to Imphal, Manipur for India Jodo Nyay Yatra. Now let us see when we reach Guwahati and then get a flight to Imphal from there.
