Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda has condemned the horrific rape-murder incident involving a young PG student at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in West Bengal.

In a strong condemnation of the recent rape-murder incident involving a young postgraduate student at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in West Bengal, Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda has expressed profound sorrow and outrage. The incident, which has garnered widespread attention and condemnation, has been described by Nadda as “heart-wrenching” and a case that has “shaken the world and the country.”

During a press conference, Nadda criticized the West Bengal government for its handling of the case, alleging that the response to the incident has been inadequate and aimed at concealing the truth. He stated, “The way the incident took place and the way the government has tried to hide it, no amount of condemnation will be enough.” Nadda’s remarks highlight his frustration with what he perceives as a lack of effective law enforcement and accountability in the state.

The Union Health Minister did not shy away from addressing the broader issues of law and order in West Bengal. He asserted that the state has become a place where lawlessness is rampant and that atrocities against women are increasing despite the presence of a female Chief Minister. Nadda’s comments reflect concerns about the efficacy of the state’s governance and its impact on public safety.

Nadda also voiced strong disapproval of the West Bengal government’s efforts to suppress the case, describing these actions as “hushing up” the issue. He welcomed the Calcutta High Court’s decision to transfer the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), stating, “I am confident that the CBI inquiry will bring out the truth.” This support for the CBI investigation underscores a push for transparency and accountability in the case.

In response to the incident, Nadda has assured that the central government will take decisive action against those responsible. He noted that delegations from various Doctors’ Associations have met with him over the past two days to express their concerns. Nadda reiterated his commitment to finding a remedy and ensuring that necessary steps are taken by the government and the Ministry to address the situation effectively.

The case has sparked significant debate and concern across the country, with many calling for a thorough investigation and justice for the victim. Nadda’s statements are part of a broader political and public discourse surrounding the incident, which has highlighted issues of safety, governance, and the role of state authorities in addressing serious crimes.

As the CBI investigation progresses, all eyes will be on how the case unfolds and whether it leads to meaningful justice and reform. The incident has underscored the urgent need for stronger measures to protect women and ensure accountability for those in positions of power.
