The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced the results of the preliminary examination for the recruitment of Child Development Project Officers (CDPO). A total of 1,590 candidates have successfully cleared the preliminary test (PT) and are now eligible to appear for the main examination. The main exam is tentatively scheduled for the first week of August. Candidates can start applying for the main examination from Tuesday, and the application process will be conducted online. The application window will close on the evening of July 26.

Key Information for the Main Examination

Applications for the JPSC CDPO main examination will be accepted until the evening of July 26. The exam papers are expected to be issued starting from July 27. According to the schedule released by JPSC, the main examination will begin with a Hindi paper, which will be worth 100 marks. This paper is a qualifying paper, and candidates must score at least 30 marks to qualify. The questions in the main examination will be of 10th-grade level. In addition to the Hindi paper, there will be two General Studies papers, each worth 100 marks. Candidates will also have the opportunity to choose a subject of their preference for another paper.

CDPO PT Cut-off Marks for This Year

This year’s cut-off marks for the CDPO PT exam vary across different categories. For the general category, the cut-off was set at 133 marks. The cut-off for Other Backward Classes (OBC) was also 133 marks. For Scheduled Castes (SC), it was 132 marks, while for Scheduled Tribes (ST), the cut-off was 122 marks. The cut-off for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) was 133 marks. For women candidates, the cut-off was 123 marks, and for the sports quota, it was 80 marks. Among the Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the cut-off for the blind category was 107 marks, for the deaf and dumb category it was 108 marks, and for the locomotive disability category, it was 121 marks.

Next Steps for Candidates

Candidates who have cleared the preliminary examination must now focus on preparing for the main examination. It is essential to submit the application for the main exam before the deadline of July 26. Candidates should also be aware of the qualifying marks required in the Hindi paper and ensure thorough preparation for the General Studies papers and their chosen subject paper. The JPSC’s use of a 10th-grade level for the questions indicates that candidates should have a solid understanding of basic concepts.
