The Congress government in Karnataka has started preparations to withdraw the anti-conversion law brought during the BJP government. Let us tell you that the Karnataka cabinet has approved the repeal of the anti-conversion law and soon this proposal will be passed in the assembly. After this decision, BJP is attacking Congress. BJP national general secretary CT Ravi has surrounded the Congress and said that direct action is needed to protect the society.

CT Ravi said that 'anti-conversion law was implemented in the BJP government to stop forced conversions. Today the Congress government is promoting forced conversions and in a way giving license to those people who entice people to convert. This should be stopped. CT Ravi said that I have spoken to the sadhus on this issue that now it is their responsibility to protect the Hindu society. I have appealed that a mahapanchayat should be called against this decision of the Congress government. There is a need to take direct action to protect the society.

Under Karnataka's anti-conversion law, misrepresentation, force, undue influence and inducement or coercion to convert from one religion to another were made illegal. Offenses under this law were cognizable and non-bailable, with provisions for strict punishment. In this law, the person found guilty had a provision of a fine of Rs 25,000 and imprisonment of three to five years. Along with this, there was a provision of imprisonment of three to 10 years and a fine of up to Rs.
