MP Election: BJP core group meeting lasted for six hours in Delhi, names decided on remaining 94 seats of Madhya Pradesh

BJP's core group meeting was held in Delhi on Tuesday regarding Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. This meeting held at the residence of BJP President JP Nadda lasted for about six hours. Apart from Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, State President VD Sharma, Union Minister and state in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, co-in-charge Ashwini Vaishwan, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh were present in the meeting. Tomar, BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and Organization General Secretary Hitanand Sharma were present.

BJP has announced its candidates for 136 out of total 230 seats of Madhya Pradesh Assembly. According to sources, in this meeting the core group discussed the remaining 94 assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh. The names of candidates for almost all the remaining seats have been finalized. In these, seats of 71 MLAs (66 BJP, one each of SP-BSP, two independent MLAs, pro-Scindia MLAs supporting BJP) were discussed. Apart from this, the 23 lost seats were discussed. The fifth list of BJP candidates may come soon. The next list of BJP candidates will be one of ticket cutting and seat changing.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan leaves for Bhopal after the meeting

After the meeting of BJP core group, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, State President VD Sharma and Organization General Secretary Hitanand Sharma left for Bhopal. At the same time, the meeting of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BL Santosh with JP Nadda continued till late night.

Less than a month left for elections

Elections are to be held in a single phase on November 17 for all 230 assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh. Now less than a month is left for the elections. Nomination notification will be released on October 21. The ruling BJP in the state has prepared a massive strategy to win the elections. This time the party has made seven MPs including its three Union Ministers its candidates in the assembly elections.

Apart from this, tickets have been given to 25 ministers including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Currently, tickets of eight ministers are on hold. A minister Yashodhara Raje has refused to contest elections due to health. BJP has so far given tickets to 57 MLAs. At the same time, tickets of three MLAs have been canceled.
