Officials say that a huge fire broke out in a factory located in Mundegaon of Igatpuri tehsil. Which is being tried to extinguish. The accident happened due to a boiler burst.

Union Minister of State for Health Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar told that there was an explosion in the reactor plant of a poly film factory of Jindal Company. One person died and more than 14 were injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital. The rescue operation is still going on. He told that local administration officials and concerned ministers are present here. Maharashtra CM and Deputy CM are monitoring the situation. Teams are deployed to douse the fire at Poly Film Factory.

The police gave this information on Sunday. The fire broke out at a decorator's godown in Bharat Nagar area of Shelar Naka in Dombivili at around 12.45 am, an official said. Based on the complaint, an offense was registered under Indian Penal Code section 435 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause hurt).

Investigation continues

Inspector Pandurang Tithe of Tilak Nagar police station said that the godown was completely gutted in the fire. Due to this, there is a loss of about Rs 60,000. Police have identified the accused on the basis of CCTV footage from the area and further investigation is underway.

Two people get 10 years imprisonment

in a robbery case A special court in Thane city has sentenced two people to 10 years imprisonment in a robbery case. The court of Special Judge Amit M Shete convicted both the accused under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) and relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on December 27. The court sentenced both the convicts to 10-10 years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 10.15 lakh on each. Both the accused, who worked as driver and conductor, are residents of Airoli in Navi Mumbai, while the third accused in the case is still absconding.
