Following the split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the working committee meeting was held at Sharad Pawar's residence in Delhi on Thursday.

Amid the discussion of cabinet expansion in Maharashtra, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his official residence yesterday i.e. late Thursday. Amid reports of Shinde's displeasure, this meeting is said to be important. If sources are to be believed then Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis discussed about power sharing.

Earlier it was being claimed that Shiv Sena is unhappy with the entry of NCP in the Shinde faction government and the CM may resign soon. However, the CM himself denied this and said that I have no plans to leave the post of Chief Minister. These are all rumors and I also know who is behind this?

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Uday Samant had said on the speculation of displeasure and resignation that we are not going to resign, but are going to take it. Shinde's leadership is about taking everyone along and being patient. All the MLAs, MPs have reposed faith in Eknath Shinde. All this is being done to tarnish the image of Eknath Shinde.

Let's know what happened in Maharashtra on the last day...

Following the split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the working committee meeting was held at Sharad Pawar's residence in Delhi. During this, he announced that he is the president of the party. He also commented on the retirement statement of his nephew and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He said that whether he is 82 or 92 he can still work more effectively. The party's working committee expressed confidence in Sharad Pawar and supported his decision to expel Ajit Pawar and eight other MLAs, MPs Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare.

Rahul met Pawar

Meanwhile, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi met Sharad Pawar amid the crisis involving the NCP. If sources are to be believed, during this meeting at Sharad Pawar's residence, Rahul Gandhi expressed solidarity with him. This was the first meeting of a national leader with Sharad Pawar after the split in the party. Opposition leaders Sonia Gandhi, MK Stalin and Mamata Banerjee, among others, had called up Pawar to express solidarity.

Sharad Pawar's meeting has no legal validity: Ajit Pawar

Meanwhile, the faction led by Ajit Pawar said that the NCP working committee meeting called by Sharad Pawar has no legal validity. Ajit Pawar has been elected as the National President of NCP on 30 June 2023 with the overwhelming support of the majority of elected representatives of NCP as well as members holding various organizational positions. A petition has also been filed before the Election Commission in the matter stating that he represents the original NCP and hence the name and symbol of the party be given to him.

Sharad Pawar hit back

Sharad Pawar, however, dismissed the questions raised by the Ajit faction on the legal validity of the working committee meeting. He said that this meeting of the working committee has been held according to the constitution. If someone has said something then there is no truth in it or it does not make any sense.

42 to 43 MLAs supported Ajit Pawar: Bhujbal

Senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal has claimed that 42 to 43 party MLAs have signed affidavits in support of Ajit Pawar. The NCP has 53 members in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
