In view of the non-stop caste violence in Manipur these days, Union Home Minister
Amit Shah convened an all-party meeting at
Delhi Parliament House on Saturday in which leaders of various political parties including
BJP,
AAP,
Congress, Trinamool
Congress and Left parties participated.
Samajwadi Party demands President's rule in Manipur
Sources informed that the Samajwadi Party demanded President's Rule in Manipur in the all-party meeting. On the other hand,
Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that PM Modi should look into the Manipur violence.
No faith in the person running the administration in Manipur - RJD
After the all-party meeting on Manipur, RJD MP Manoj Jha said that it was discussed with an open mind, we all expressed our opinion. There is distrust (of people) in the political leadership there and this has been raised by all the opposition parties. We said that there is no faith in the person who is running the administration. Home Minister assured to discuss the suggestions of opposition parties- BJP
On the all-party meeting,
BJP leader Sambit Patra said that all political parties had sent their representatives in the all-party meeting. All the political parties put their themes in a positive manner. After listening to all the representatives, the Home Minister has assured to discuss the suggestions of the opposition parties. The present delegation of all political parties also agreed that it has never happened before today that a Home Minister had spent three days at the place of riots.
