‘Metro Ride Kolkata’ App Achieves Record Downloads in West Bengal
The ‘Metro Ride Kolkata’ app in West Bengal has achieved over 5.31 lakh downloads on Android and 9,000 on iOS, setting a record in Kolkata Metro’s history.
Since the launch of the ‘Metro Ride Kolkata’ app in West Bengal, more than 5.31 lakh Android phone users have downloaded it, marking a significant milestone in the history of Kolkata Metro. Additionally, the app, which was introduced on the iOS platform on March 22, 2024, has also seen over 9,000 downloads from iOS users. A spokesperson from Metro Rail highlighted these impressive figures, noting the growing popularity of the app among commuters.
A Record-Breaking Achievement
According to a Metro Rail spokesperson, the app, which became available on Google Play Store on March 5, 2022, has been downloaded by over 5.31 lakh Android users as of July 12, 2024. Similarly, more than 9,000 iOS users have downloaded the app from the Apple Store. This achievement sets a new record in the history of Kolkata Metro, as the app continues to gain traction among passengers who are increasingly turning to digital solutions for their travel needs.
