The team of NCB Patna had received information about the exit of a truck laden with ganja from Assam.

Muzaffarpur. The Narcotics Control Bureau has got great success in the district. The team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which arrived from Patna, raided Darbhanga turn located in Sadatpur of Kanti police station area and caught 310 kg of ganja. The action was taken on the evening of August 11. The consignment of ganja has been recovered from inside the basement made in the truck of Punjab number PB 13 AB 4397.

The team had arrived from Patna

According to the information, the team of NCB Patna had received information about the departure of a truck laden with ganja from Assam. After this, a five-member team including Intelligence Officer Ashutosh Pandey reached Muzaffarpur. There was information about the truck being parked at the Line Hotel on Sadatpur turn. After this, NCB officials, along with Kanti and Ahiyapur police, laid siege and confiscated the truck. The driver cum smuggler of the truck was arrested from the spot.

To dodge the police, DRI and NCB, the smuggler truck was covered with tarpaulin. Driver cum smuggler Gyan Singh, who was caught from the spot, is a resident of Barbar village of Dhanaur police station in Warnwal district of Punjab. The consignment of seized ganja was being sent from Agartala in Tripura to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. It was to be taken from Agartala via Assam and Bihar to UP. The seized ganja was taken to Patna by NCB officials and the truck was taken to Kanti police station. A case has been registered in this regard at the NCB headquarters in Patna. The accused arrested with ganja was produced in Muzaffarpur NDPS court and sent to jail.
