For this, the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) has also approved the study and training of 720 courses. The special thing is that in exchange for allowing the use of its resources, Skill India will also give regular money to these educational institutions under the Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme-4.
A senior official of the Central Government said that under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has brought this scheme in the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana-4 for all the educational institutions of the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also directed the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Education to make students skilled through bookish studies and vocational training in their favorite fields during school and higher education. Under this, from the academic session 2023-24, the labs and resources of all the educational institutions of the country will be used in vocational courses in their free time.
This will give students an opportunity to re-skill and upskill their skills through vocational courses right from school education. Therefore, even if for some reason a student leaves his studies midway after 10th or 12th class, he will be able to easily join his business or employment because of being skilled in the vocational course.

In all these educational institutions, when the labs and resources are not being used in free time, then courses related to those labs can be conducted through vocational courses. Teachers from educational institutions only will help in doing this vocational course. The concerned educational institutions themselves will decide the additional salary for these teachers for this work. However, Skill India will give money to these educational institutions in return.
