Odisha Train Derail: Train derails again in Odisha, four coaches of goods train derailed, big accident averted

A fortnight after a gruesome accident involving three trains in Odisha's Balasore district, four bogies of a goods train derailed near Ambadola in Rayagada district on Saturday. There is no immediate report of any loss of life, a railway official said. The goods train was on a special route from Ambadola to a plant of Vedanta Company in Lanjigarh when four coaches derailed, the official said.
The railway official said the incident did not affect train services as the wagons of the goods train were derailed on the particular route. He said that after getting the information, railway officials reached the spot and started investigation to find out the reason behind the derailment of the goods train.
Death toll in Balasore accident rises to 291
At the same time, another passenger from Bihar, who was injured in the Balasore train accident, died during treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Saturday, identified as Sahil Mansoor (32), a resident of Roshanpur in Bhagalpur district. Officials said Sahil was suffering from a kidney-related ailment and was undergoing treatment at the ICU of Trauma Care. Superintendent of SCB Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Mishra said that Sahil died of a heart attack. He was suffering from kidney problem apart from internal injuries.
Treatment of 46 injured continues
Sudhanshu Shekhar said that 46 people injured in the train accident are still undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital. Of these, 13 people are in ICU. The condition of two to three injured remains critical.
Earlier, Prakash Ram (17), a resident of Bihar, who was injured in the train accident on Friday, died during treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital. He was traveling in the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express that met with the accident on June 2. Apart from internal injuries, he had sustained severe head and leg injuries.
