Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, where 1.13 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be sanctioned. PM Modi will also flag off the Vande Bharat train and address a large public gathering.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jamshedpur tomorrow, where he will launch several key initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Jharkhand’s underprivileged citizens. In anticipation of his visit, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the media today, highlighting the major developments that will take place during the Prime Minister’s stop in the state.
1.13 Lakh Houses to Be Sanctioned Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
One of the most significant announcements that will be made during PM Modi’s visit is the sanctioning of 1.13 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). These houses are intended to provide permanent shelter for the poor families of Jharkhand, as part of the government’s ongoing mission to provide affordable housing for all. Speaking about this development, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to arrive in Jharkhand tomorrow. For the poor brothers and sisters of Jharkhand, 1.13 lakh houses have been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.”
According to Chouhan, the sanctioning process has already been completed, with both the Central and State Governments informed of the move. The first instalment for the construction of these homes will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. “We have sanctioned the houses and sent them to the Central and State Governments, and the first instalment for the construction of the houses will be transferred to the accounts of those beneficiaries through a single click,” Chouhan stated, emphasizing the efficiency and transparency of the process.
PM Modi’s Commitment to Providing Homes for the Poor
During his address, Chouhan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that every poor person in the country receives a permanent home. He noted, “Our constant endeavour will be that every poor person gets a permanent house.” The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a flagship scheme of the government, has been instrumental in providing affordable housing to millions of families across India, and Jharkhand is the latest beneficiary of this initiative.
Flagging Off the Vande Bharat Express
In addition to the housing initiative, PM Modi will also flag off the highly anticipated Vande Bharat Express train from Jamshedpur. The Vande Bharat Express, known for its speed and modern facilities, will enhance connectivity and boost the region’s infrastructure. This new train service is expected to provide faster and more comfortable travel for passengers in the region, linking Jamshedpur to other important cities across the country.
PM Modi to Address a Massive Public Gathering
The Prime Minister’s visit will culminate with a massive public rally organised by the BJP in Jamshedpur. PM Modi is expected to address a large gathering of supporters, where he will discuss the government’s development agenda for Jharkhand and the steps being taken to uplift the region’s poor and marginalized communities.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “PM Modi will also address a huge gathering organised by the BJP in Jamshedpur.” The rally is expected to draw thousands of people from across the state, eager to hear the Prime Minister speak on issues of national and regional importance.
Looking Ahead
PM Modi’s visit to Jamshedpur is being seen as a significant moment for Jharkhand, as it brings with it new opportunities for development, particularly in the housing and transportation sectors. The sanctioning of over one lakh houses and the inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express are expected to have a long-lasting impact on the state’s growth trajectory. As the state prepares for the Prime Minister’s arrival, there is a palpable sense of excitement among residents, who look forward to the positive changes his visit will bring.
