PM Modi highlights India’s achievements in housing, pension schemes, agricultural infrastructure, and women empowerment at the World Leaders Forum.

New Delhi, India: In a powerful address at the World Leaders Forum, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined India’s remarkable achievements and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic fabric of the country. In his speech, PM Modi emphasized key programs including the construction of 3 crore houses, the introduction of a Unified Pension Scheme, the establishment of a Rs. 1 lakh crore fund for agricultural infrastructure, and the strengthening of the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme, which has empowered over 11 lakh women across India.

Building 3 Crore Houses to Address Housing Needs

One of the standout initiatives that PM Modi highlighted was the ambitious plan to build 3 crore houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The scheme aims to provide affordable housing for all by 2024, with a focus on low-income groups, rural populations, and urban poor. “Our government is committed to ensuring that every citizen has a roof over their head,” stated PM Modi. “We have already delivered over 2 crore houses, and the construction of another 1 crore is in progress, bringing us closer to the goal of housing for all.”

This initiative is not only about providing shelter but also about boosting local economies by generating employment in construction and related industries. The housing scheme has also been designed to improve the quality of life by incorporating sustainable building practices and access to essential amenities such as water, electricity, and sanitation.

Unified Pension Scheme for a Secure Future

Addressing the need for social security, PM Modi spoke about the introduction of the Unified Pension Scheme, a comprehensive program aimed at providing financial security to senior citizens, workers in the unorganized sector, and other vulnerable groups. “We understand that a nation is only as strong as its people, and our seniors, who have contributed so much to the growth of our country, deserve to live with dignity,” he said. The scheme aims to unify various pension programs under one umbrella, making it easier for beneficiaries to access their pensions without bureaucratic hurdles.

Rs. 1 Lakh Crore Fund for Agricultural Infrastructure

Highlighting the significance of the agricultural sector, PM Modi announced the establishment of a Rs. 1 lakh crore fund dedicated to enhancing agricultural infrastructure. “Our farmers are the backbone of India, and it is imperative that we provide them with the necessary tools and infrastructure to thrive,” he emphasized. The fund will be used to build warehouses, cold storage facilities, and modernize farm equipment, thereby reducing post-harvest losses and improving supply chain efficiency.

With this initiative, the government aims to make Indian agriculture more resilient and competitive, ensuring that farmers get better returns for their produce and reducing dependency on intermediaries.

Empowering Women Through the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ Scheme

PM Modi also spoke passionately about the success of the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme, an initiative designed to empower women by encouraging entrepreneurship and financial independence. He proudly announced that over 11 lakh women have already become ‘Lakhpati Didis’, earning substantial incomes through self-help groups and small businesses. “When women prosper, families and communities prosper,” he remarked. The scheme provides training, access to credit, and market linkages to women, enabling them to start and grow their businesses.

The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to expanding this scheme further, with plans to include more women from rural and underserved communities in the coming years. “We are building a new India where every woman can dream big and achieve her goals,” he added.

A Vision for a Stronger, Inclusive India

Concluding his speech, PM Modi affirmed his government’s dedication to driving India towards a future of growth, inclusivity, and sustainability. The initiatives announced at the World Leaders Forum reflect his vision of transforming India into a nation where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive. “Together, we are building a new India—an India that is self-reliant, inclusive, and ready to lead the world,” PM Modi declared.
