This statement of the Prime Minister has come at a time when a controversy is going on in the country regarding Shahrukh Khan's film Pathan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised BJP leaders to avoid making unnecessary statements on films. According to media reports, the Prime Minister said these things in the BJP National Executive meeting held in Delhi on January 16-17. According to sources, the Prime Minister said that some people are making statements on some films, which were played on the media throughout the day. PM Modi advised party leaders to avoid unnecessary rhetoric. 

Let us tell you that this statement of the Prime Minister has come at a time when there is a controversy going on in the country regarding Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathan. In fact, there is a controversy over Deepika Padukone being shown in a saffron-coloured bikini in a song from the film Pathan, due to which many BJP leaders even demanded a ban on the film Pathan. Let us tell you that Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam had raised the question whether all this was done to give cheap popularity to the film or this controversy has been created under a well-planned conspiracy. Ram Kadam also said that if any film or TV serial insults the sentiments of Hindu society, it will not be allowed to be screened in Maharashtra

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra also gave a statement on the Pathan dispute. He had demanded that the objectionable scenes be removed from the film or else the film would not be allowed to be screened in Madhya Pradesh. In other states including Bihar, objections were raised regarding the song of the film Pathan. In Bihar, BJP leader Hari Bhushan Thakur Bachaul had even demanded to stop the release of the film Pathan in the state. He said that saffron color is the symbol of our religion. This film is a cheap attempt to weaken the Sanatan culture.
