Congress' Delhi unit leaders and workers staged a protest outside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office here on Saturday demanding the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy . Here Sisodia held a press conference on the matter and attacked the BJP vigorously. He said that the elections" >2024 Lok Sabha elections will be BJP versus Aam Aadmi Party.

CBI took care of the family

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that CBI was ordered from above to raid us. I want to thank them for not causing any inconvenience to my family. Sisodia said a day after the CBI raids at his residence that Delhi's excise policy was implemented with complete transparency, no scam took place. These people are not worried about scams. The concern of these people is Arvind Kejriwal, who is loved by the public and who has emerged as an alternative at the national level.

Congress's performance

The protesters marched from the Delhi Congress office to the AAP headquarters on DDU Marg and raised slogans against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia. Congress' state unit's media department vice-president Parvez Alam said the Congress has demanded that Kejriwal sack Sisodia from his cabinet, as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has named him in an FIR registered in the excise policy 'scam'.

CBI raid

Significantly, the CBI on Friday searched Sisodia's residence for several hours in connection with the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22. The investigating agency has named him along with 15 others in an FIR.
