Notably, 60 students of Naswan-e-Kabad Ab School and 17 students of Naswan-e-Faizabad School were affected by the poison attack.
“The two primary schools are close to each other and were targeted one after the other,” Hamani said. He said, 'We admitted the students to the hospital and now they are all fine.' While the investigation is still underway, preliminary inquiries have revealed that a man allegedly paid third parties to carry out the attacks in a fit of rage. However, according to Fox News, Rahmani did not provide further details on the nature of the poison or the specific injuries suffered by the girls.
Various restrictions imposed on women
Since seizing power in August 2021, the Taliban have tightened their grip on the rights and freedoms of Afghan women and girls. Under Taliban rule, girls are prohibited from receiving education beyond the sixth grade, including access to higher education. Additionally, women face restrictions on employment opportunities and in public places.

Similar incidents had also come to the fore in Afghanistan's neighbor Iran. In November last year, there were incidents of poisoning in most of the girls' schools here too. Thousands of girl students fell ill due to toxic fumes in these incidents.
