On Sunday, life was normal except in the areas of Main Road and the Upper Market. Here, in view of the normalcy of Ranchi, the district administration has removed Section-144 from six out of 12 police station areas of the capital on Sunday. From where Section 144 has been removed, they include Lalpur, Bariatu, Sukhdevnagar, Sadar police station, Jagannathpur and Gonda police station areas. However, Section 144 will remain in force till further orders in Daily Market, Kotwali, Hindpiri, Chutia, Lower Bazar and Doranda police station areas, which are considered sensitive areas. People of these areas have been given permission to shop between 1 pm to 5 pm.
Youth involved in attacking Bihar's road construction minister arrested
Ranchi's Lower Bazar police station has arrested a youth on Sunday in connection with the attack on Bihar's Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen, who was passing through the main road during the incident. The name of the youth is Mo Anish (19 years). He is a resident of Pahari Tola of Sukhdevnagar in Ranchi. The youth has been identified on the basis of CCTV footage. The minister's car was vandalized. The minister had lodged the case through email.

Meaning of Section 144 remaining in force
