New revelations are being made in the death case of Tiktok star and BJP leader Sonali Phogat. Now a Goa court on Sunday sent three accused arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Sonali Phogat to five-day police custody. A senior police officer gave this information.

3 accused were sent to five days of police custody

Police produced Edwin Nunes, owner of Curlies restaurant in Goa, and drug smugglers Dattaprasad Gaonkar and Ramakant Mandrekar before a court in Panaji. The police sent him to five-day police custody, the official said. He said Nunes had also filed a bail application, but the court rejected it.

Suspicious circumstances died on 23 August

Tiktok star and reality show 'Bigg Boss' contestant Phogat (43) died under suspicious circumstances on 23 August. She had reached Goa a day before this. Drug smuggler Rama alias Ramadas Mandrekar was arrested by Anjuna police in North Goa district on Saturday night for allegedly supplying drugs to another smuggler Dattaprasad Gaonkar, an official said earlier. Gaonkar is already in custody in this case.

Police have also arrested Phogat's associates Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh in this case. Both of them came to Goa with Sonali. Sonali Phogat was given a drug named 'Methamphetamine' by the accused in a Goa restaurant before her death. Deputy Superintendent of Police Jeevba Dalvi said that the remainder of the narcotic substance Phogat was given at Anjuna's Curlies restaurant has been seized from the restaurant's washroom. Sukhwinder and Sudhir have been booked for murder while Gaonkar and Nunes have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Gaonkar is an employee of Anjuna Hotel

Dalvi said, "The drug which was given to Phogat has been identified as methamphetamine." Gaonkar had allegedly supplied the drug to Singh and Sangwan. Gaonkar is an employee of the hotel in Anjuna where Sonali Phogat was staying.
