On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the state government has transferred Rs.1500 to beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Scheme. The amount includes an additional Rs.250 as a festival gift.

In a significant move to empower women and celebrate the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, the state government has transferred Rs.1500 to each beneficiary of the Ladli Behna Scheme. This amount includes the usual monthly assistance of Rs.1250, along with an additional Rs 250 as a festive gift for the occasion. The announcement was made by the Chief Minister, who emphasized the importance of supporting women in every possible way.

The Chief Minister stated, “Today, I am transferring an additional Rs. 250 to the bank accounts of all our Ladli Behna sisters as a Shagun (gift) for Raksha Bandhan, making the total amount Rs.1500. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to empower the women of our state and ensure their financial independence.”

He further highlighted that the Raksha Bandhan and Sawan Utsav celebrations are being organized at over 25,000 locations across the state, underscoring the importance of these cultural festivities in strengthening community bonds and celebrating sisterhood.

Statewide Celebrations

In addition to the financial transfers, the Chief Minister himself will be attending a Self-Help Group (SHG) conference and Raksha Bandhan celebration in Sheopur. During this event, the Chief Minister will personally oversee the transfer of Rs.1500 to the bank accounts of all Ladli Behna beneficiaries with a single click. This gesture is aimed at not only providing financial assistance but also acknowledging the role of women in society and the state’s commitment to their well-being.

The Ladli Behna Scheme, which has been instrumental in improving the lives of women across the state, continues to gain momentum with each passing month. The scheme provides direct financial assistance to women, empowering them to meet their personal and household needs independently. The additional Rs.250, given as a Raksha Bandhan gift, is a small yet significant way of recognizing the cultural and emotional value of the festival, which celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters.

Impact and Response

The state government’s decision to provide an extra Rs.250 as part of the Raksha Bandhan celebrations has been widely appreciated by the beneficiaries and the public alike. Many women have expressed their gratitude towards the government for this thoughtful gesture. “This additional amount will help us celebrate Raksha Bandhan with even more joy and make the day special for our families,” said one of the beneficiaries from the scheme.

The Chief Minister’s involvement in the celebrations and his direct communication with the beneficiaries through events like the one in Sheopur demonstrate the government’s proactive approach to women’s welfare. The Ladli Behna Scheme has already made a significant impact by ensuring that women have access to financial resources, and such initiatives further enhance the scheme’s effectiveness and reach.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, the state government plans to continue supporting women through various schemes and programs designed to promote their economic and social welfare. The Ladli Behna Scheme is just one of many initiatives aimed at empowering women and ensuring their active participation in the state’s development.

As the state celebrates Raksha Bandhan, the transfer of Rs.1500 to Ladli Behna beneficiaries is not just a financial transaction, but a symbol of the government’s ongoing commitment to uplifting and empowering women in every aspect of life.
