Sudan's health ministry said the attack took place on Saturday in the residential area of Omdurman, a city near the capital Khartoum.

At least 22 people were killed in an airstrike on the town of Omdurman in Sudan amid ongoing clashes between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). According to media reports, it is believed to be the biggest attack so far in the week-long conflict.

The health ministry said the attack took place on Saturday in a residential area of Omdurman, a city near the capital Khartoum. In which many people have been injured. The airstrike is one of the deadliest clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the capital and other cities. Last month, 17 people, including five children, were killed in an airstrike in Khartoum.

According to media reports, the RSF has accused the military of attacking residential areas of Omdurman. Violence broke out between rival groups in these areas. RSF said in a statement that 31 people were killed in the attack. According to reports, the army tried to cut an important supply connection. RSF strongly condemns the airstrikes carried out by the Sudanese army. The brutal attack by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) claimed the lives of more than 31 people and injured many civilians, the group said in a statement.
