Renowned Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to attend the Paris 2024 Olympics to support her husband, professional badminton coach Mathias Boe. Taapsee, who tied the knot with Boe in a private ceremony in March 2024, described the opportunity as a ‘once in a lifetime experience.’ Boe, known for coaching prominent badminton players like Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, will be coaching the Indian team at the Olympics.

Confirmation and Enthusiasm

In a recent interview, Taapsee confirmed her plans to attend the Paris Olympics, expressing her excitement about supporting her husband. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, “This year presents a fantastic opportunity to experience the Olympic Games, especially with Mathias coaching our national team and Satwik and Chirag being strong contenders for a medal.”

Excitement for Paris Olympics

The Paris Olympics will commence on July 26 and conclude on August 11. Taapsee shared her enthusiasm, stating, “With Mathias coaching our team and Satwik and Chirag being among the top medal contenders, I feel more motivated and excited to attend the event and cheer them on. Also, the event coincides with my birthday (August 1), giving me even more reasons to be there.”

Birthday Plans in Paris

Taapsee Pannu plans to be in Paris from July 29. She expressed her desire to see the badminton players reach the finals and shared her birthday plans, saying, “I haven’t made any specific plans for my birthday yet. On that day, the men’s doubles quarterfinals in badminton will take place. I hope we celebrate the day with a victory. That would be the best birthday gift.”

First Meeting with Mathias Boe

Recalling her first meeting with Mathias Boe, Taapsee said, “I met Mathias for the first time after he returned from winning a medal at the 2012 Olympics. When he participated in the next Olympics as an athlete, I didn’t want to go because watching him play made me very anxious.”

She further shared that Boe’s Olympic medal added to his allure and that she has always been impressed by athletes who perform well under immense pressure. Taapsee revealed that their relationship didn’t start with love at first sight but grew over time as they got to know each other better. “I loved and respected Mathias, and over time, our feelings evolved into love. We took our time to evaluate the practicality of our relationship,” she added.
