Train Accident: Big rail accident averted in Bengal, coaches separated from train engine

When the express train was between Dalkhola and Suryakamal stations in Uttar Dinajpur, suddenly the engine and bogie got separated.

A major accident was narrowly avoided on Tuesday in West Bengal. 10 coaches of the train have been reported separated from the engine of Lohit Express near Dalkhola station in Uttar Dinajpur. According to railway sources, the incident happened around 4:45 pm on Tuesday evening. However, there is no news of any casualty in this.

According to the information, Lohit Express left for Jammu-Tawai from Guwahati on Tuesday. When the express train was between Dalkhola and Suryakamal stations in Uttar Dinajpur, suddenly the engine and bogie got separated. Locals said that around ten coaches got separated from the engine. Due to this panic spread among the passengers. Many jumped from the train. On information about the incident, the Station Master of Dalkhola station reached the spot along with the railway officials. How this happened is being investigated.
