Know what is UCC

UCC may be introduced in the coming parliamentary session

UCC was on the agenda of the BJP for a long time. On June 14, the Law Commission resumed its exercise on the UCC by seeking views of the public and recognized religious organizations on that proposal within 30 days. This bill can be introduced in the coming parliamentary session. When the issue picked up steam, on June 27, PM Modi while talking about the UCC in Bhopal said that the country cannot run on two laws and the Uniform Civil Code is part of the Constitution.
