Maharashtra News: In Maharashtra, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray announced the party's alliance with the Maratha organization Sambhaji Brigade. This comes at a time when the Uddhav Thackeray-led party is grappling with the after-effects of Eknath Shinde's rebellion and coming to power in Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray said the alliance with the Sambhaji Brigade is ideological and has been done to uphold the Constitution and regional pride.

Uddhav Thackeray on Friday criticized the BJP for not following the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and said that the Sambhaji Brigade consists of people fighting for the ideology. Thackeray also denied the allegation that he had called Chief Minister Eknath Shinde a 'contract CM'. The Shiv Sena chief said he would visit the state around Dussehra and is currently concentrating on building the organisation.

Uddhav Thackeray said that in the last two months he was approached by many parties which had ideological links with the Shiv Sena and even those who were strongly opposed to it. He said that these parties want to come together to save regional pride and regional parties. Sambhaji Brigade chief Manoj Akhare said the organization had formed its political wing in 2016. Both the parties have decided to come together and form a coordination committee for smooth functioning.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, while replying to Uddhav Thackeray's taunt, said that I am the Chief Minister on contract. But I am the Chief Minister taking the contract for the development of the people. On the other hand, MLAs of Shinde faction in Maharashtra Vidhan Bhawan complex also appeared aggressive on Thursday. These MLAs were seen targeting Aaditya Thackeray. In one of his speeches, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had said on the problem of power workers working on contract that what will the Chief Minister solve their problems, who themselves are on contract. He doesn't even know how long he is the chief minister.
