Union Minister L Murugan lauds PM Modi’s visionary leadership on his birthday, emphasizing the importance of the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign and the vision for Viksit Bharat 2047.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Union Minister L Murugan hailed the PM’s visionary leadership and commitment to India's development, calling it a day of celebration and reflection. Speaking from Chennai, Murugan emphasized how India has seen significant progress under PM Modi’s leadership in the last decade and how the country is steadily moving towards the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.
“Today is a joyful day, and it is a Sankalp for Viksit Bharat 2047,” said Murugan, noting that Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has accelerated India’s development across sectors. He added, “Our PM Modi is a visionary leader... We have seen in the last ten years how the nation is developing speedily under his leadership. From infrastructure to digital transformation, the progress has been swift and widespread.”
Celebrating PM Modi’s Birthday with a Swachhata Pakhwada Pledge
The Union Minister highlighted that PM Modi’s birthday is being marked by the launch of the Swachhata Pakhwada, a national cleanliness drive aimed at furthering the Prime Minister’s commitment to a cleaner and healthier India. “Today is the PM’s birthday, and we are celebrating it as Swachhata Pakhwada,” he stated, urging citizens across the country to participate in the cleanliness drive.
Swachhata Pakhwada, an initiative that started as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, has grown to become a cornerstone of India’s public hygiene and cleanliness drive. With various sectors and stakeholders actively participating, the campaign is aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility among citizens to keep their surroundings clean. Murugan reiterated that Swachhata Pakhwada is not just a government initiative but a people’s movement that seeks to transform India into a cleaner nation.
Viksit Bharat 2047: A Vision for a Developed India
Murugan further elaborated on the Prime Minister’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047, a roadmap for India to become a fully developed nation by the 100th year of its independence. “The seeds of this transformation are being sown today, and in the coming decades, India will emerge as a global leader across multiple fronts,” he said.
“PM Modi’s leadership has been transformative, whether it’s the push for digital India, initiatives in healthcare, infrastructure, or foreign relations. The next step is to make sure that India is well-positioned to be a leading force globally by 2047,” Murugan added.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, key initiatives such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Digital India have propelled the nation towards self-sufficiency and innovation, Murugan said. The Minister emphasized that India’s youth and entrepreneurs are at the heart of this vision, driving the country towards a prosperous future.
