According to sources, apart from Darjeeling, Bose may also visit the violence-affected areas of North Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri and Murshidabad districts. Governor Bose has already visited two violence-affected places in South 24 Parganas district.

Petition against appointment of Rajeev Sinha as Election Commissioner of Bengal
Here, a public interest litigation was filed in the Calcutta High Court on Monday challenging the appointment of Rajiv Sinha as Election Commissioner in West Bengal. The matter is likely to come up for hearing next week. Sinha was appointed as the Election Commissioner on June 7.
