Melinda French Gates stated that Bill Gates must answer for his appearance in the Jeffrey Epstein files and assured that she is moving on with her life
Melinda French Gates expressed her deep sadness after learning that Bill Gates appears in the new documents published by the Department of Justice related to Jeffrey Epstein. The philanthropist said she felt “incredible sadness” upon seeing her ex-husband’s name in the files and clarified that any questions about his conduct should be answered by him, not her. “Any questions that remain there… for those people, and even for my ex-husband, they should answer, not me,” Melinda stated during her appearance on a recent interview with NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast. She emphasized feeling relieved to be removed from what she called a “mess” in her marriage. She also recalled the vulnerability of the young women involved, comparing them to the age of her own daughters, and described the situation as “heartbreaking.” The controversial email involving Bill Gates and Epstein: The documents include emails from 2013 that Epstein sent to himself, in which he suggested that Gates had an extramarital affair and was seeking illicit drugs. A Gates spokesperson categorically denied these claims and assured NBC News that the emails merely reflect Epstein's frustration at not having maintained a continuous relationship with Gates. In the messages, Epstein also indicated that he had decided to resign from a position at the Gates Foundation and the think tank BG3, explaining that he became "caught in a serious martial dispute between Melinda and Bill." He also described participating in actions that "crossed the line of illegality," such as facilitating drugs and illicit encounters, although these claims have not been verified by authorities. Melinda and Bill Gates' Divorce: Melinda and Bill Gates were married for 27 years before divorcing in 2021. Following the separation, she resigned from her position as co-chair of the foundation and stated that she wanted to distance herself from painful moments in her personal and professional life.In the interview, she emphasized that she has managed to move on and is in a “truly unexpected and beautiful moment.” The files also mention other prominent men, including President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew, who have denied any wrongdoing. So far, the only person convicted of crimes related to Epstein has been Ghislaine Maxwell. Melinda concluded by saying that she hopes for justice for the women affected by Epstein and reiterated her relief at having been able to distance herself from the situation. “In my case, I have been able to move on with my life,” she concluded.
