The UP Police Constable Bharti Exam 2024 faced a significant setback as it was abruptly canceled due to a paper leak. Scheduled across the state on 17th and 18th February, the examination was meant to fill 60,244 positions for police constables, drawing a massive turnout of approximately 47 lakh candidates. Now, these aspirants are eagerly awaiting news of a rescheduled exam date.
Despite speculation in media reports suggesting a potential exam date in June 2024, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has yet to officially confirm any such schedule. However, it's anticipated that the Board will announce the new exam date soon, providing much-needed clarity to the anxious candidates.
The cancellation of the exam came as a disappointment to the thousands of candidates who had diligently prepared for it. With the cancellation, candidates will now have to undergo a written examination, physical test, and document verification for recruitment to the coveted position of constable within the UP Police.
Outlined in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam Pattern, the examination will be a two-hour affair comprising 150 questions, each carrying two marks. This brings the total marks for the exam to 300. Notably, the exam will be conducted in both English and Hindi languages and will utilize the OMR sheet format, maintaining standard practices for such recruitment examinations.
