Early Saturday morning, a Hispanic man was shot and killed during an argument at a home in the 800 block of Lucky Street, near downtown Houston, Texas, authorities said.

Houston Police Department (HPD) officers responded to a report of a shooting and, upon arrival, The man was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted resuscitation and applied emergency bandages, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department (HFD) personnel. An argument that ended in tragedy. According to preliminary reports, the victim was the ex-boyfriend of a woman who lives in the house where the shooting occurred. A friend of the woman was also present at the scene and is believed to be the shooter. According to witnesses, an argument between the two men turned violent until the friend pulled out a firearm and shot the ex-boyfriend several times. The exact motive for the altercation is still under investigation, and authorities have not reported whether the suspect has been apprehended. HPD detectives remained in the area collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to clarify the circumstances of the crime.
