Karol G releases her fifth studio album, “Tropicoqueta”
The Colombian singer opened her heart and revealed that through her new album “Tropicoqueta” she welcomes a new musical era
Singer Karol G has welcomed a new musical stage through the release of “Tropicoqueta”, her fifth studio album that celebrates her Latin roots through new emotions, sounds and rhythms.
On June 20, the so-called 'Bichota' shared with the world 20 songs that show a more romantic and adventurous side through genres such as bachata and merengue. And it's with titles like "Cuando me muera te olvido" or "No puedo vivir sin él" that the artist reveals a more personal and intimate side of herself.
Karol G not only offers her fans an innovative musical proposal through her rhythms, she also does so with unexpected collaborations that include names like: Eddy Lover, Greeicy, Mariah Angeliq, Marco Antonio Solís and singer-songwriter Manu Chao.
In honor of this exploration of a new sound, the Colombian released an emotional message in which she not only said she was excited to finally share this project with the public, but also warned that it would be a musical experience different from those she has previously given.
"It's not an album that you listen to once and understand everything... this album is a journey. Each song is a world. A different rhythm. A different feeling... And I think that's where the magic lies... (and the challenge too), that not everything is revealed at the beginning. It's an album to stay. For discovering it little by little. To fall in love with a different song every day,” she declared on her official Instagram account.
The response to this new release from her fans around the world has not been long in coming, proving that this new stage in Karol G’s career is shaping up to become one of the most important.
“THIS ALBUM MARKED A BEFORE AND AFTER, I love it so much!!! Crying, dancing, laughing, my new obsession,” shared one user via Instagram. Meanwhile, another internet user added: “I loved the versatility of this album, in songs you transport us to the past and then bring us back to the present with the different genres. You rocked, congratulations.”
