Belinda in Toy Story 5: The singer voices Lilypad
The Mexican singer and actress confirmed her participation in the long-awaited Disney and Pixar film, where she will play the smart device
The famous Mexican singer and actress Belinda confirmed her incorporation into the Disney and Pixar universe. The artist revealed that she will lend her voice to the Spanish dubbing of Lilypad, a key character in the long-awaited film “Toy Story 5.”
Through a video recorded at the Pixar studios in San Francisco and published on her social networks, Belinda shared the news with her followers. “I am very excited to tell you that I am going to be the voice of Lilypad,” the star declared enthusiastically.
Given the initial doubts of fans on social networks, the interpreter herself clarified that she will not replace the emblematic cowgirl Jessie, whose voice in Spanish will remain intact with her usual actress, but will give life to a completely new figure in the saga.
Lilypad is not a traditional toy, but a smart tablet that will be integrated into the plot as the main antagonist.
For the first time in the franchise, the central conflict will be driven by technology and artificial intelligence: the device will completely monopolize little Bonnie's attention, displacing her faithful companions and forcing Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie to face a digital threat that will put their playing time at risk.
To complicate your mission, Lilypad will control a high-tech army of Buzz figures.
Thus, Belinda joins figures such as Bad Bunny, Bizarrap and Penélope Cruz, who will also lend their voices to new characters in the film.
The production is handled by Lindsey Collins, while Randy Newman returns to compose the film's original score.
The premiere of “Toy Story 5” is scheduled for next Friday, June 19.
