Jessie J is cancer free! The singer shared the news on her social networks
After 11 months of treatment, the 38-year-old interpreter demonstrated that early diagnosis can save lives
The renowned “Bang Bang” singer, Jessie J, confirmed that she is cancer-free, 11 months after publicly revealing that she suffered from the disease.
“The results are here, I am cancer-free!” wrote the 38-year-old artist in the description of a video posted on her Instagram account.
Jessie J had reported in June 2025 that she had early-stage breast cancer, which led her to stay away from the stage while she underwent the corresponding treatment.
Despite her absence from live performances, the singer used her social networks as a permanent channel to keep her followers informed about the evolution of her health and also remember that early diagnosis can save lives.
“I'm going to disappear for a while to have surgery”
At that time, the artist informed her followers that she would be temporarily absent from public life to undergo surgery, after her presentation at the Summertime Ball festival in the Capital.
Although she recognized that suffering from this disease was unfortunate, Jessie J sought to cling to an encouraging aspect: her diagnosis was in an “early stage,” which significantly increased the chances of success in treatment.
During the process, the singer shared moments of vulnerability with her followers. In one of her videos, she confessed: "I came back for my annual checkup, I'm not going to lie, I'm scared to death. They told me it wasn't a contrast test. I'll have my chest x-ray and I'll pretend I'm not claustrophobic."
During what she called “her journey,” Jessie J used music as a vehicle to channel her emotions. The artist released an album titled “Don’t Tease Me with a Good Time,” a work that, she said, took her six years to bring to market.
Within this material, the song “I’ll Never Know Why” stands out, with which the singer and rapper managed to process how she coped with her illness. He also took the opportunity to send a message to those followers who have lost happiness and are searching for a path that will bring them back to the light.
The news of his recovery did not go unnoticed in the music industry. Figures such as singers Lauren Jauregui and Rita Ora publicly congratulated Jessie J after her revelation, adding to the wave of messages of support she received throughout the process.
