WhatsApp has apologized after being reprimanded by the Union Minister for sharing the wrong map of India. WhatsApp has said that it apologizes for the unintentional mistake and will take care of it in future.
In fact, Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp had shared a video from its Twitter handle, in which the map of India was wrongly shown. The portion of Jammu and Kashmir in the video was tampered with. Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar had reprimanded WhatsApp for this act of WhatsApp and asked to fix the video. Earlier too, the minister had slammed Eric Yuan, CEO of Zoom, for sharing the wrong map of India.
Union minister had warned of ban
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, while replying to WhatsApp's video said, "Dear WhatsApp, you are requested to correct the mistake of India's map as soon as possible. All platforms that do business in India or in India Want to continue doing business, they should use the correct map.

In the Union Minister's tweet, WhatsApp has corrected the mistake, tweeting that thanks for pointing out the unintended mistake. We have removed the video immediately, apologies. We will take care in future.
