The Railway Protection Force (RPF) fired at the Secunderabad railway station to disperse the rioting protesters, where three coaches of a train were torched during the protest. According to a senior official of South Central Railway (SCR), the protesters torched some coaches of three passenger trains, but no passenger was injured in these incidents. "There was an incident (of firing), they (protesters) had to open fire to control them," the official said.
Tension in Secunderabad station and surrounding areas
Tension prevailed in the Secunderabad railway station and surrounding areas. Shops located near the railway station are closed. Under this new scheme, the recruitment of soldiers in the Army, Navy and Air Force will be done on contract basis for four years and they will be named '
Agniveer'.
