After House Republicans voted Thursday morning in favor of the massive package of tax and federal spending cuts, as well as increased funding for the Pentagon and border security, former President Joe Biden spoke out.
Biden called the Trump administration's sweeping fiscal and budget package, approved Thursday by Congress, “cruel,” saying it includes “drastic” cuts to public health.
“The working class deserves better,” the Democratic politician wrote on the social network X, shortly after the Republican-majority House of Representatives gave its final approval to the budget.
“The Republican budget bill is not only reckless, but also cruel,” Biden stressed, who warned that the fiscal package “drastically cuts Medicaid and deprives millions of Americans of health care.”
