Sergio Busquets was one of the cornerstones of an FC Barcelona that changed the way we see football. The Spanish midfielder provided balance and an outlet to a Blaugrana team that swept European football with its tiki-taka. Today, at 37 years old, Busquets has decided to end his career.
The Inter Miami midfielder posted a video on his social media announcing his decision. Sergio Busquets will retire at the end of the Major League Soccer season.
"These will be my last months on the pitch. I'm retiring very happy, proud, fulfilled, and above all grateful. Thank you all very much, see you soon," said the Spanish midfielder.
Sergio Busquets only played for two clubs in his entire career. At FC Barcelona, ????the player born in Badia del Valles played 722 matches, scoring 18 goals and providing 46 assists. In more than 56,000 minutes on the pitch, Busquets provided an outlet and stability to one of the best teams in history.

At Javier Mascherano's Inter Miami, Sergio Busquets continues to be a star player. So far this season, including the Leagues Cup and the Club World Cup, Busquets has played 38 matches in which he has been able to provide 8 assists.
