Kerala: Landslides in Idukki, 5 killed, more than 80 people feared and trapped

PosKerala, idduki landslide: Many districts of Kerala are suffering due to incessant rains. A flood-like situation has arisen in some parts. Meanwhile, a major landslide has occurred in Idukki district. So far five people have died in this accident and more than 80 people are feared trapped.

ANI officials have been quoted as saying that there has been a landslide in Rajamala area of ​​Idukki district, which is difficult to reach. However forest officials and other emergency service personnel have reached the spot. The Kerala Health Minister said that a mobile team out 14 ambulance has been sent to the scene.

More medical teams will be sent if needed. Hospitals have been directed to remain on alert. According to the administration, more than 80 people have been trapped in this accident. Their rescue work is in progress. More than 10 people have been evacuated.
