Kharsawan MLA Dasharatha Gagarai arrived at Sarjam village, a predominantly tribal tribe of Kuchai, along with ITDA project director Arun Walter Sanga on Friday. Here people of Birhor community met and heard their problems.
Villagers told that livelihood is the biggest problem before them. Most people in the village make ropes from tree bark and sack of cement, then the house runs. The villagers expressed their desire to livelihood by rearing goats, poultry and goats under the PVTG Gramotthan Yojana.
Seeked cooperation from the government in the work of rope making. Mungli Birhor, the only inter pass girl from the village, said that by opening the Anganwadi center, children will get education and nutritious food. All the people have got accommodation except two people of Birsa Awas Yojana, which are given to the primitive tribe community.
Demanded to provide accommodation to the other two people of the village. During this time, many people expressed a desire to do cotton spinning work from Tasar Kosa. Villagers said that the domestic water supply scheme has stagnated for the last three years. Water does not reach the homes. During this time BDO Malay Kumar, Mukhiya Maheshwar Oraon, Panchayat Secretary Ashok Mahato, village head Rauka Bankira were present.
