Train service affected due to heavy rains in Mumbai.

Due to heavy rains in Mumbai on Tuesday night, waterlogging situation has arisen due to which traffic has been completely disrupted. The rain, which started on Tuesday afternoon, has also affected the local train and bus service. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has declared a holiday for all private and government establishments except the emergency services after excessive water logging and heavy rains in many parts of the city. The Commissioner has ordered that if necessary work is not done then do not go out of the houses. People are suffering due to excessive water logging at Bhendi Bazaar, Gol Temple, Nana Chowk, Mumbai Central Junction, Bavla Compound, JJ Junction, Hindmata, Kala Chowki, Sarathi Bar and Worli Sea Face. Work is going on for the drainage of water in all areas.

Mumbai's Nair Hospital city is flooded after heavy rains. It is a COVID-19 hospital. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai city has received 173 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Rail service affected

Central rail services have been suspended between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Thane railway station due to waterlogging by heavy rains. The railway line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vashi has also been affected by the rain. Train services have also been suspended between Churchgate and Andheri railway stations due to water logging. Train services are operational between Andheri and Virar railway stations. Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Special will go at 10 pm.

According to the Meteorological Department, Mumbai may receive heavy rains on Wednesday as well. According to the meteorological department's forecast, Mumbai will be cloudy on Wednesday and there is a possibility of heavy rain. On the other hand, due to heavy rains on Tuesday night, people have got busy life. It has become difficult for people to get out of the houses due to the rain water filling the streets.

These areas remain the most affected

The Maharashtra's Goregaon area received heavy rainfall, causing heavy waterlogging at various places. Also, there was waterlogging on the railway tracks and roads and due to which local train and bus services were disrupted. Passengers were stuck at Sion railway station due to heavy rains in Mumbai, due to continuous rain, the situation got so bad that water reached the platform due to which people had to face a lot of trouble.
